Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecast Division, operating under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, has issued a statement indicating that the likelihood of heavy rain in the immediate future is low.
Rojan Lamichhane, a meteorologist at the Division, explained that while there are chances of moderate rainfall, the prospects of heavy or torrential downpours are minimal for the time being.
Lamichhane elaborated that over the next 24 hours, certain areas within the hilly regions and across the country can expect to experience light to moderate rainfall. He did, however, caution that sporadic instances of heavy rainfall might still occur.
The Division has further revealed that the Monsoon Trough Axis is presently positioned slightly to the north of its usual location.
